On Saturday, August 21, 2010, downtown Birmingham will host the Birmingham Cruise Event to celebrate the region's automotive heritage. Activities include a variety of automotive exhibits, sponsor displays, and a variety of vendors - all complementing the classic car show, which features hundreds of classic cars on display on Old Woodward between Brown St. and Lincoln Ave. The Birmingham Cruise Event area features prime viewing spots for car enthusiasts to catch all the action on Woodward while enjoying a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

Classic Car Parking Information was posted in early May regarding the pre-registration lottery for the classic car show. At this time, the pre-registration process is closed.
Parking for individual cars will be available on the day of the event, as space allows, after 10:00 a.m. Cost is $25 per car.

Vendors & Private Events Due to limited availability of vendor space, vending opportunities on public property will be limited to Birmingham-based businesses and non-profit organizations only. Please review the general event guidelines for details regarding required permits.
Property or business owners holding a private event on private property may be required to submit various permit applications, depending on what activities will be taking place during the event.

Sponsorship Opportunities There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available for automotive-related businesses or organizations. The Birmingham Cruise Event area is located in close proximity to all the action on Woodward Avenue, offering great exposure and lots of foot-traffic to event sponsors.
Volunteer Opportunities We are looking for volunteers to assist with the parking of classic cars, directing traffic, and monitoring vehicle entrances/exits during the day of the event.
Visitor Information Downtown Birmingham is the place to take a break during this year's cruise. With lots of restaurants and shops, there is something for everyone. As one of the most walkable cities in the region, it's also a good place to stretch your legs after a few hours in a car.
